‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ Shows Much More Minion Mayhem to Come

For the kids watching the Super Bowl game with their family, the newest teaser has arrived for the next film in the hit Despicable Me series. This teaser for Minions: The Rise of Gru is a look at the full length trailer, which will arrive this Wednesday.

In this short clip, which can be seen below, we get a glimpse at young Gru, voiced by Steve Carrell, who has been consistent in the role since the first film in 2010. This shows that The Rise of Gru will be taking place after Despicable Me, and after 2015’s Minions. The iconic yellow minions return with young Gru to face several new villains. Other additions to the voice cast include Margot Robbie, Russell Brand, Kevin Hart, and Dave Bautista. More information about their characters will likely be known when the full trailer drops this week. Though from this clip alone, it is clear that fans will be getting more of the characteristic minion mayhem involving plenty of explosions, over-the-top stunts, and funny moments that kids will love.

See the teaser below, and check back for the full trailer later this week.
