Amid the current world climate, films and shows have postponed filming and release dates all year. It appears that some productions are slowly creeping back to begin filming again, one of them being Peyton Reed’s Ant Man 3. According to Screen Rant, in recent interview with the Ladies First with Laura Brown podcast, Michelle Pfeiffer confirmed that she will be back as Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Man 3. When asked if she was joining the cast, she responded with: “I’m supposed to do Ant-Man, the third one.” She also stated that the film is set to begin shooting this coming Spring in 2021.
Pfeiffer is the last to confirm her returning role in the franchise, as it’s certain that Paul Rudd will return as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly is expected to return as Hope van Dyne. Also, Michael Douglas will be back in his role as Hank Pym, as well as newcomer Jonathan Majors, who joined the cast in September. Reports suggest that he’ll be playing Kang the Conqueror. With all these actors confirmed, it was more than exciting for fans to hear that Pfeiffer will return as well. Although the plot is still under wraps, and Ant Man 3 doesn’t have an official release date, Marvel has said that they are considering a 2022 premiere.
