As stated by Variety, Michael had received $1 billion in the box office. The bi-poc surpasses films such as Oppenheimer that received $975 million in the box office and Bohemian Rhapsody which gained $911 million in the box office. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is the only other film to reach the $1 billion views this year with $1.008 billion. 

Michael follows the deceased musician Michael Jackson and his life. The film stars Jaafar Jackson,  Miles Teller (Whiplash, Eternity), Colman Domingo (Fear the Walking Dead, The Four Seasons), Nia Long (Are We There Yet?, Big Momma’s House), Mike Myers (Shrek, The Cat in the Hat), Laura Harrier (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Starling) and more.

Michael is currently available to watch in theaters as the film released back in April 24, 2026.
