Creed and Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan’s newest movie will officially be released on February 26, 2021. Without Remorse, based on the 1993 Tom Clancy novel of the same name, was originally slated to come out on October 2, 2020, but was seriously delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Jordan helped produce the film, as well.
The film is directed by the Italian Stefano Sollima, known for action films such as Sicario: Day of the Soldado and Suburra, and is Jordan’s newest work since 2019’s legal drama, Just Mercy.
Without Remorse tells the story of a former U.S. Navy Seal who is seeking revenge for the murder of his wife. The thriller also stars Jamie Bell (Jumper), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen and Slim), Luke Mitchell (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Colman Domingo (Selma) and more.
Jordan’s film is the latest potential blockbuster to face such a delay, following films like Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman 1984 and Cate Shortland’s Black Widow. That being said, Without Remorse’s near four-month postponement is among the longest high-profile delays that have been caused by the pandemic.
The film will certainly garner a lot of interest from fans of Clancy and Jordan alike, and now is set up to be one of the more hyped releases of early 2021.
