A teaser trailer for Michael B. Jordan’s The Thomas Crown Affair was released today. The trailer begins with Jordan walking up a flight of stairs surrounded by large marble walls and pillars and monologuing,
“I’ve been taking risks my entire life, but last night was different. I felt alive.” What follows next is Jordan scaling a large building in a black tuxedo, then a continuation of the monologue over a montage of clips of him racing and other action shots. During the montage, the trailer shows Adria Ajorna (Andor) who later in the trailer serves as a love interest to Jordan. At the end of the trailer, Jordan gives out his name to Ajorna which is Thomas Crown, setting up the title for the movie. The movie set to release March 5th of next year.
The Oscar winning actor is not the first to play the character of Thomas Crown, for Pierce Brosnan played the same role in 1999 version of the film and Steven McQueen in 1968. This will also be Michael B. Jordan’s second film to direct with his first being Creed 3. Other confirmed actors for the film is Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Danai Gurira (Black Panther) and Kenneth Branagh (Much Ado About Nothing).
