Maya Hawke, Julia Fox, King Princess, Ziwe and Este Haim have joined the cast of Will Gluck’s film One Night Only. The sex comedy follows two strangers who search for partners in a restrictive society where premarital sex is allowed for just one night.
Gluck, who has directed acclaimed romantic comedies such as Easy A starring Emma Stone, Anyone But You with Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell and Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, also penned the script, which is adapted from Travis Braun’s top-ranked script on the 2024 Black List. It’s unclear whether Gluck’s version will diverge from the original premise.
Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Molly Ringwald and LeVar Burton were previously announced, with Turner and Barbaro as the leads. Ringwald plays Turner’s mother with Burton as her partner.
Universal Pictures will distribute the film produced by Gluck’s Olive Bridge Entertainment. Jacqueline Monetta, VP of Olive Bridge Entertainment, will oversee the project and also produce. Universal’s Senior EVP Production Development Erik Baiers and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the film for the studio.
One Night Only is scheduled for release in the U.S. on August 7, 2026.
