Marvel Studios Announces Cast For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Marvel Studios has gone live on social media with a stream unveiling cast members for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. The stream is silent, but has been slowly updating, showing chairs with cast members’ names on the backs.

27 names of cast members have been revealed are listed in the following order as they were in live stream.

Chris Hemsworth is returning as Thor Odinson though if Thor has managed to recover from the deep depression after losing many of the people of Asgard will be seen but fans anticipate some ‘Fat Thor’ closure. Vanessa Kirby as The Invisible Woman aka Susan Storm who will be making their MCU debut in Fantastic Four First Steps dropping on July 25th. Anthony Mackie as Captain America aka Sam Wilson who has firmly settled in as the shield wielder, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Solider aka Bucky Barns joins him. Letitia Wright as Black Panther aka Shuri who took up the mantle of Black Panther in Wakanda Forever. Paul Rudd as Ant-Man aka Scott Lang, whose chair was ant sized in the line up of the live stream. Further names included Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent aka John Walker, Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor who was the antagonist in Wakanda Forever and whose inclusion is surprising but welcomed considering there had been no suggestions or clues of Namor returning, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing aka Ben Grimm who is joining Kirdy as co-star for his MCU debut in Fantastic Four First Steps in July.

Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova whose appearance in May’s Thunderbolts* will likely tie into the Doomsday story. Kelsey Grammer as Beast aka Hank McCoy reprising the role from the original X-Men films. Lewis Pullman as The Sentry who is to debut in Thunderbolts* for his first MCU film. Danny Ramirez as Falcon aka Joaquin Torres who became the new Falcon in Captain America: Brave New World. Joseph Quinn as The Human Torch aka Johnny Storm the third member of the Fantastic Four debut in Fantastic Four First Steps. David Harbour as Red Guardian aka Alexei Shostakov, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost aka Ava Starr.

Tom Hiddleston as Loki, reprising his role after time bending shenanigans from the Loki show that told what Loki was up to after appearing to die on screen. Patrick Stewart as Professor X (aka Charles Xavier) also returns with Ian McKellen as Magneto aka Erik Magnus Lehnsherr to the roles they played in the original Fantastic Four films from the 00’s. Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler aka Kurt Wagner, Rebecca Romjin as Mystique aka Raven Darkhölme, James Marsden as Cyclops aka Scott Summers an X-Men also reprising his role from the 00’s films. Channing Tatum as Gambit aka Remy LeBeau, and Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic aka Reed Richards the final confirmed Fantastic Four member.

Robert Downey Jr. appears in the video to round out the cast as Victor Von Doom aka Dr. Doom in a surprising return to the franchise after Iron Man’s heroic sacrifice at the end of Avengers Endgame appearing in person at the end of the stream announcing his new role.

Avengers: Doomsday is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed the last two Avengers films. The film boasts Doctor Doom as its main villain and is currently slated for a May 2026 release date.
