Lifetime announced on Monday that they will be partnering up with KFC to make a mini-movie about Colonel Sanders. A Recipe For Seduction will be starring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders with Justene Alpert as his love interest.
According to the official synopsis, the 15 minute mini-movie follows the story of a young heiress (Alpert) who feels uncertain with a suitor her mother picks. Then a handsome chef (Lopez) comes along with a “secret fried chicken recipe and a dream.” Colonel Sander then unravels a series of events that reveal the mother’s devious plans.
“Some folks take their secrets to the grave, but Colonel Sanders takes his to the deep fryer.” Stated KFC’s promo on their Facebook page. Along with this cheesy line, their promo posters have the line “We all have our secrets, his just happens to be A Recipe For Seduction”.
Also starring in this is unknown length movie will be Tessa Munro, Martin Mandela, and Chad Doreck who recently appeared in two episodes on Netflix’s mini-series Hollywood.
Will this be “finger-lickin’ good” movie or just a very unnecessarily long commercial?
A Recipe For Seduction will be premiering in just a few days on Sunday, December 13. The trailer can be viewed below:
