Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) has had an illustrious career with the Secret Service. He’s saved the President from countless assassination attempts that you’d think he would given the credit when the President comes under attack again. Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman) is the now the Commander in Chief and low and behold he becomes the target of a massive assault on his life. Mike Banning is there with him to ensure his safety but there’s a link that points the finger at Banning leading him to go on the run!
This is the third entry in the Fallen series and sees the return of writers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt along with Robert Mark Kamen (The Transporter). The supporting cast will include Jada Pinkett Smith (Girls Trip), Danny Huston (Stan & Ollie), Tim Blake Nelson (The Report), Nick Nolte (Head Full of Honey), and Lance Reddick (John Wick Chapter 3 Parabellum).
Director Ric Roman Waugh (Shot Caller) is new to this series while Lionsgate will be handling the distribution. Angel Has Fallen is scheduled to be released on August 23. Check out the first trailer below!
