Laura Dern (Wild) is in talks to star alongside Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) in Kelly Reichardt’s upcoming film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The title and synopsis are being kept under wraps, though the indie will reportedly be based on the short stories of Maile Meloy. Jared Harris (AMC’s Mad Men) and James Le Gros (FX’s Justified) are also on board to star, and Todd Haynes (Far From Heaven, I’m Not There) has signed on as executive producer. Dern most recently received an Oscar nod for her supporting role in Wild, and will also be starring in Ramin Bahrani’s 99 Homes. This will be Williams’ third collaboration with Reichardt—the two also worked together on Wendy and Lucy (2008) and Meek’s Cutoff (2010). She’ll also be starring in the upcoming screen adaptation of Irène Némirovsky’s novel Suite Française, to be released later this year.
