Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse’s ‘Moonshot’ Trailer Released

Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse star in an upcoming HBO Max original movie Moonshot. As a romantic comedy with a “sci-fi twist”, this film follows Condor’s character Sophie on a journey to Mars, who pursues her long-distance boyfriend living on the planet. Much to Sophie’s surprise, Sprouse’s character comes along for the ride illegally joining her mission to space.

The film is directed by Chris Winterbauer known for other films like Wyrm and Bald Love. Moonshot is the second film out of four promised in a deal between HBO Max and Berlanti-Schechter Films. Production took place in Atlanta in June 2021 with a slated release date of March 31. Condor is most known for her breakout lead role in Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy while Sprouse returned to acting as Jughead Jones in The CW’s Riverdale.

Moonshot released a new trailer providing an inside look into the reimagined blended genres of rom-com and sci-fi. With Condor’s character fighting to make her relationship work, she meets Sprouse’s Walt, and the two go on a journey together to attempt a reconciliation with their respective partners.
