Kristen Stewart‘s (Still Alice) next project, Personal Shopper, will see her starring in second collaboration with Olivier Assayas, the director of Clouds of Sils Maria (the film that earned her the first César Award for an American actress) according to Variety. The French filmmaker wrote the English-language script, which will take place within the Parisian fashion underworld and involve a ghost story that will reportedly revisit some of the themes approached in Sils Maria.
The same production team behind Sils Maria will be back for the fantasy-esque film, which will begin shooting in Paris toward the end of the year.
Since impressing critics and audiences last year in two supporting roles—in the aforementioned Assayas drama and opposite Oscar winner Julianne Moore in Still Alice—Stewart is poised to headline her own arthouse projects, one of which will be Personal Shopper. Besides Assayas, she has caught the eyes of the notoriously exclusive Woody Allen (Blue Jasmine) and the emerging indie drama director Kelly Reichardt (Wendy and Lucy) for two upcoming untitled films. She is also currently filming Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk for Oscar-winning director Ang Lee (Life of Pi). Stewart will next be seen in theaters in her second appearance with Jesse Eisenberg (Adventureland) for Nima Nourizadeh’s (Project X) action-comedy American Ultra on August 21.
