Kiersey Clemons (The Flash) has just signed on to be an actress in Jonás Cuarón’s updated film on Zorro, entitled Z. She will act alongside new coworker Gael Garcia Bernal (Amazon Prime’s Mozart in the Jungle).
Cuarón’s and Glenn Gers’ screenplay is based on a new take on the tale of the masked sword-fighter, Zorro (Bernal), who has been brought to the screen before by Antonio Banderas. This time, the story will occur in the future, very close to our own time.
Clemons was in last year’s Flatliners. She also stars in Hearts Beat Loud, which debuted at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and will be distributed by Sony Pictures. She has two films in post-production: Daniel Adams’ comedy An L.A. Minute and Jason Blum’s thriller Sweetheart.
