Kate McKinnon Gives Praises To All Artist In The ‘Barbie’ Movie

The Barbie movie by Greta Gerwig has fans paying way more attention to details from wardrobe to set props, and Kate Mckinnon is another as she’s on the filming set of Barbie. Mckinnon plays Barbie on the mountaintop talking to Barbie (Margot Robbie) about her big choice to travel to the real world. Mckinnon called out the technical artist that help build the set as it was pink-defied and realistic, making Barbie land the perfect place.

Comicbook talked with McKinnon as she raved over the work that the technical artist created for the Barbie movie. Mckinnon shared, “Everyone who worked in the production — artists, true, sculptors, artists, designers — this movie is a canvas for the art of so many incredible people.” she continued, “Just getting to wear and walk around their art was like, ‘Oh my God, this is the greatest, and I don’t want to go home.'”

Having the perfect place, it needs a perfect cast, which the Oscar nominees Robbie and Ryan Gosling play Barbie and Ken respectively, alongside America Ferrera, Michael Cera, McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, Scott Evans, Ana Cruz Kayne, Emma Mackey, Hari Nef, Alexandra Shipp, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuuti Gatwa, Simu Liu, and many more.

Barbie comes to theaters on July 21st.
