Julianne Moore in Talks to Join Amy Adams in ‘Woman in the Window’

A.J. Finn’s New York Times bestseller novel, Woman in the Window, is getting a Hollywood facelift and Julianne Moore is in negotiations to join the cast. Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation will adapt the successful narrative into an intense thriller that cast Amy Adams as the lead role.

Adams is set to play the role of Anna Fox, a New York child psychologist who has agoraphobia and is unable to set a foot outside, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Spending her days indoors doing nothing more than drinking, watching movies, and spying on her neighbors has caused Adams’ character to witness a horrible crime. The problem is that although she reports it, no one believes her.

Having played the villain in Fox’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Moore is ready to fill those vile shoes again. Playing the matriarch of the mysterious family across the street, Moore will once again don the villain role as the mother in the Russell family, the new neighbors.

Joe Wright, the filmmaker of The Darkest Hour, will direct the Woman in the Window adaption while Tracey Letts will be writing the story in a Hitchcockian fashion. Production or release dates are still currently under wraps.
