Judy Belushi-Pisano Passes Away At 73

Judy Belushi-Pisano, producer and actress, has passed away at 73. She was best known for her work with Saturday Night Live’s John Belushi and on National Lampoons Animal House. The news of her death was shared by friends and the official John Belushi account.

Hollywood came to know Judy Belushi-Pisano through her first husband John Belushi and their work on some of the most iconic comedy sketches and movies of the 70’s and 80’s. Judy was widowed after John’s death in 1982 after six years of marriage. Judy worked tirelessly to preserve and continue John’s work, including working as a producer for the upcoming Blue Brothers TV show. Judy Belushi would marry fellow producer Victor Pisano in 1990 and they would later divorce in 2010. She is survived by her son Lucas Jacklin Pisano and her ex-husband.

Judy and John were high school sweethearts, and she was described by family and friends as loving and supportive. This extends to her dedication to preserving John Belushi’s legacy going on the record numerous times to clear up the narrative surrounding Belushi’s tragic overdose. Aside from the Blue’s Brothers TV show, she was working with the Belushi family and crew on the documentary about John Belushi’s career providing archive video and photos of their time together.

Judy Belushi-Pisano passed in her home at Martha’s Vineyard Massachusetts on July 5 after a long battle with cancer. Over the years she remained close with the Belushi family. Jim Belushi, John’s brother, was one of the friends to announce her death on social media with a tweet expressing his sorrow at her passing.
