Jonathan Majors’ misdemeanor assault case has had a hearing set for October 25 in New York. During a hearing on Friday, Judge Michael Gaffey chose the date after hearing from Majors’ attorneys and the Manhattan District Attorney’s office; Majors’ attorneys Priya Chaudhry and Seth Zuckermann filed a motion to dismiss the case on September 12, and the D.A.’s office must respond by October 6. Majors is allowed to appear virtually until the trial begins.
Majors faces misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault. He was arrested in New York on March 25 after his ex-partner, Grace Jabbari, accused him of assaulting her while in a taxi on the way back to his apartment in Manhattan. When police responded to the scenes, Jabbari had minor injuries on her head and neck. Majors was arrested and released and has since denied the allegations.
Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudry, alleged that Jabbari was the perpetrator of the assault and that the case was a “witch hunt…saturated with explicit and implicit bias” against Majors.
Majors is set to appear in the second season of Loki, which will be released on Disney+ on October 6. He reprises his role as an alternate version of Kang the Conqueror after he appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Loki’s first season. He is supposed to star as the main antagonist of several upcoming MCU movies, including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
