‘John Wick 4’ Wraps Up Filming, Potential Title Revealed

According to Collider, an Instagram post by actor Shamier Anderson reveals that John Wick 4 has wrapped shooting. Anderson posted several pictures to celebrate the production’s completion, including star Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, and a potential title for the fourth installment: Hagaruke. Chad Stahelski returns to direct, and the film is set for release on May 27, 2022.

Anderson writes on how it was a positive experience to work on the film, in which production started back in June. The second image depicts a drawstring bag with text that spells out John Wick 4: Hagakure. Hagakure translates literally to ‘hidden by the leaves’, referring to a practical and spiritual guide for a warrior. The book compiles the words of samurai Yamamoto Tsunetomo, a previous ruler of part of Japan.

John Wick 4 will most likely pick up where the previous film left off. Wick notes his frustrations at The High Table to Laurence Fishburne’s Bowery King. Aside from Reeves, Yen, Anderson, and Fishburne, John Wick 4 features the return of Ian McShane’s Winson and Lance Reddick’s Charon. Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, and Clancy Brown are new to the cast, as well as Japanese-British pop superstar Rina Sawayama.

Be sure to check out John Wick 4 next summer. For now, look at Anderson’s Instagram post in anticipation below.
