John Krasinski Makes Cameo as Mr. Fantastic in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD

It’s been almost a week since the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and there is a multitude of things fans can’t stop talking about, one of those things being John Krasinski’s introduction the MCU.

John Krasinski, best known for his role as Jim from The Office, captured the attention of action fans with his titular role in the thriller series Jack Ryan. And it seems Marvel’s casting team was watching too because in the latest film Krasinski made his debut as Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.

Krasinski has long been the favorite casting choice for fans ever since Marvel regained the rights to the Fantastic Four franchise. The studio has now confirmed that a Fantastic Four film is in the works, though no release date has been announced, and consequently fans are wondering if Krasinski will be coming aboard the project.

This is a difficult answer, as all we can do is speculate in Marvel’s silence, because in Multiverse of Madness Benedict Cumberbatch played multiple versions of Stephen Strange which means that John Krasinski could simply be the face of Mr. Fantastic in Earth-838. But this is not without hope because Cumberbatch also plays Strange in Earth-616 (the dimension in which the MCU regularly exists).

As rumors continue to fly about Krasinski’s future in the MCU and if his wife Emily Blunt will join as the Invisible Woman, we all await any news regarding casting or a director for the new film.
