Jim Henson Biopic, ‘Muppet Man’ Gets Scribe

Deadline has reported that Jim Henson Biopic entitled Muppet Man is getting off the ground, and has found its writer in Michael Mitnick. The film will be produced by Disney as well as the Jim Henson Company.

Henson did almost everything one could in the entertainment industry, and he did just that for millions of children and adults around the world. A puppeteer, director, screenwriter, and the creator of such iconic characters as Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, Henson’s legacy has remained strong, though there has never been a film about his life.

However, for years Disney and the Jim Henson Company have been trying to get one off the ground, an finally they are doing just that. Muppet Man will be adapted by Michael Mitnick, who is best known for 2014’s The Giver. The original writers of the script were Aaron and Jordan Kandell.

Overall, this is certainly a film to look out for, as even if people do not know who Jim Henson is, his creations have certainly shaped the lives of many people around the world.

There is no timetable for the film as of now, but this is certainly a good sign that this film might finally get made.
