Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy) is set to star alongside Michael Peña in Paramount Pictures’ upcoming family action movie Secret Headquarters. Williams is expected to portray the role of the villain.
Williams joins an already star-studded cast that includes Owen Wilson, Walker Scobell, Momona Tamada, Keith L. Williams, Abby James Witherspoon and Kezii Curtis. Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman are set to direct, as well as helped write the current draft along with Josh Koenigsberg. Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman are producing. The story is an original story from Christopher Yost, according to Deadline.
Secret Headquarters will tell the story about Charlie Kincaid, a kid who finds a secret headquarters under his home which appears to belong to a superhero. Once he begins to tell his friends, they start to suspect that Charlie’s father might have a secret double life as a superhero.
Williams is most known for his role as Dr. Jackson Avery on ABC/Shondaland’s Grey’s Anatomy, as well as portraying the same character in the spinoff Station 19. He has also starred on the Hulu minseries Little Fires Everywhere. Williams is also set to star in the movie Marked Man alongside Dewanda Wise and Winston Duke from Mark Gordon Pictures.
Secret Headquarters is expected to be released in theaters on August 12, 2022.
