Actor Ryan Gosling is set to kick off a new film production banner alongside Jesse Henderson, dubbed General Admissions. The deal will be signed with Amazon MGM Studios.
Under the banner, Amazon MGM will be able to get the first say on films, both theatrical and streaming for features that fall under General Admissions. The deal, however, isn’t limited to strictly films starring Gosling.
As Hollywood Reporter states, Jesse Henderson worked alongside Paul Fieg, and was also on board with HBO max. She currently has Blitz in the works over at Apple, under their film category. Blitz follows Brad Pitt as a Formula 1 racer. Apple recently put out Argylle, from director Matthew Vaughn, and also helped to distribute both Killers Of The Flower Moon and Napoleon, both of which received several Academy Award nominations.
Ryan Gosling starred in the highest grossing film of last year, Barbie, for which he earned an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also landed himself a nomination for his song “I’m Just Ken” from the film, which was written by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Like Henderson, Gosling also boasts a successful career to his film, appearing in acclaimed flicks such as Drive, La La Land, and Blade Runner 2049, among many others.
Gosling said, “the gift of partnering with Jessie Henderson in General Admission is one that cannot be understated. I’m a huge fan of Jessie’s and the films she’s produced and developed. Her unique experience, intuition, work ethic, relationships, as well as the impressive road she’s paved for herself in both comedy and drama have led to a unique ability to make the rare films that combine both.”
