Jeff Loveness to Write ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’

Months after the initial announcement of the film, Marvel Studios has found the writer for their next blockbuster Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The lucky choice is Jeff Loveness, recently known for writing the new Marvel picture Ant-Man and Wasp: Quantumania.

Loveness will join forces with the Destin Daniel Cretton, who is set to be the director of the movie. Cretton is also known for his previous work with Marvel, Shang-Chi, which he also directed. Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige is secured to be a producer on the project.

The story is still in the early stages, and was introduced alongside a lot of big projects coming from the Marvel team in the next couple of years. We do not know much yet, but we do know that the film is set to introduce a new supervillain, Kang the Conqueror, that will “wreak havoc on the MCU”. Kang the Conqueror will be played by Jonathan Majors, best known for his work on the independent film The Last Black Man in San Francisco.

This character first appeared in Loki season one and is said to have a big impact in Quantumania, which will be released in February 2023.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is set to release on May 2, 2025
