JB Smoove Confirmed to Return for ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

JB Smoove, who’s known for his role as trip chaperone Julius Dell in Spider-Man: Far From Home, has confirmed that he’ll be returning for the upcoming third entry in recent episode of The Daily Zeitgeist podcast.  “I don’t know how many people have done it, but I’m in both the Marvel and DC universes,” Smoove said. “I’ve been in Spider-Man: Far From Home and just did the new Spider-Man too and I’m Frank the Plant in the Harley Quinn animated universe.”

The actor is also known for his frequent appearances in Larry David’s hit HBO series, Curb Your Enthusiasm. In Far From Home, Smoove starred alongside Martin Starr, who played science teacher Roger Harrington. If Smoove is back, hopefully it means Starr is as well.

“I would think that the job that Martin Starr and I did in [Far From Home] is remarkable and I think we had great chemistry on camera,” Smoove said to comicbook.com after the release of the second Spider-Man MCU film. “[Starr’s] a great guy and I would think that we did an amazing job and I would think that would carry over to anything, any particular plans they have with Spider-Man and the Marvel Universe. Hell, maybe they’ll give us both powers. Maybe he’ll play Iron Fist and I’ll play Power Man.”

While it’s unlikely we’ll see Starr and Smoove on the big screen wielding superpowers themselves, we can at least count on seeing them later this year when Spider-Man: No Way Home releases December 17.
