
New animated feature, The Turning Door, adds Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men), Marion Cotillard (Inception) and Vanessa Redgrave (Atonement) to their cast. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie follows a young girl by the name Ariadlyn, voiced by Pippa Kelly in her first role on screen, who discovers a box that leads her to a different world called The Turning.
The film will feature original songs sung by the cast written by the director of the film Nicholas Ashe Bateman and Claire Givens (Mother Mary). In a statement Bateman said, “After many years of writing and dreaming about making parts for great actors, I am almost unable to express the gratitude, excitement and wonder I have for the profound gift of our cast. These are iconic artists. They bring their perspectives; their grand lives and views of the world, their immeasurable talents, towering performances, and a shared desire to make hopeful pictures for young people….These are happy dreams, and the happiest: we get to hear them all sing!”
Information about what characters Bardem, Cotillard and Redgrave will be playing has not been confirmed. The movie is still being filmed and has no release date as of now.
