Variety.com is reporting that Jason Clarke is in talks to join the Pet Sematary remake. Clarke will likely be starring in the Paramount remake of the classic film. Clarke will play Dale Midkiff’s character of Louis Creed, from the original 1989 Stephen King adapted movie.

Clarke is known for his work as Ted Kennedy in the newly released Chappaquiddick film,  the rebooted Terminator Genisys, the television show Brotherhood, and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes , among many other titles.

Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer will be directing the movie, and the film is set to open in theaters on April 19, 2019.
