The directing duo of Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will helm New Line’s comedy Game Night, which is set to star Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman.
Game Night follows several couples who gather for their regularly-planned game night when something goes terribly wrong. Bateman is producing with James Garavente alongside John Davis and John Fox. In development since 2013, Game Night’s original screenplay was written by Mark Perez, but the latest draft is credited to Goldstein and Daley.
Bateman can be recently seen in Office Christmas Party and soon in the Netflix drama series Ozark, where he will serve as executive producer as well as director and star for several episodes.
Don’t forget, McAdams is no stranger to comedy having starred in 2005’s Wedding Crashers as well as the infamous Regina George in Mean Girls. Just because she goes on an Oscar run with Spotlight doesn’t mean she can’t hack it. She can be seen in Marvel’s Doctor Strange and in the upcoming drama Disobedience, starring opposite Rachel Weisz.
