Actress Jamie King and Spanish Hollywood star Antonio Banderas have been cast alongside Tommy Flanagan for the new action thriller movie Banshee.
Jamie King will be playing the assassin for hire Banshee who is attacked by another mercenary killer Anthony Green (Tommy Flanagan). Green killed Jamie’s father and is now on a mission to kill her mentor Caleb, played by Antonio Banderas. Five years before, Caleb mysteriously went missing. Now Banshee is on a race to find Caleb before Green and his army of henchmen do.
Director Jon Keeyes commented, “Banshee is a complex story of revenge and family, and having this incredibly talented cast to bring these characters to life is a dream.”
Producers Yale Levine and Beckerman seem to be as delighted as director Keeyes on having these great actors on board for their project as their statement for Variety shows: “We’re excited to have such an amazing cast for this wall-to-wall action movie. Antonio Banderas is a legend and having him alongside Jamie king and Tommy Flanagan in such a high-energy film is going to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.”
Jamie King has made several appearances in action movies like Sin City and Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Pearl Harbor as well as movies such a White Chicks. She is the star of Netflix’s show Black Summer that recently released its second season after a long two-year wait.
Antonio Banderas was nominated for an Oscar last year in Pedro Almodovar’s Pain and Glory and recently starred in The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard. His filmography includes many titles from over the years, but we will see him soon again in the new Indiana Jones movie Uncharted.
