James Gunn Reveals Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper are Not On Set For ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ or ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’

James Gunn is the director and the writer behind Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Gunn spoke recently about Vin Diesel’s and Bradley Cooper’s involvement in the latest Thor for this July. According to Gunn, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper have not been on set. While they’re not on set filming with other cast members they are elsewhere whether it’s voice acting or motion capture filming as per usual. Bradley Cooper provides the voice of Rocket, an ambitious raccoon who hangouts with a tree monster name Groot voiced by Vin Diesel.

Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel came together to star in Gunn’s first Guardians of the Galaxy in 2014. Guardians reached global popularity, which got it a second film in 2017, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. In May 2017, Disney’s California changed Hollywood Tower of Terror to Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission Breakout featuring Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket.

Gunn recently spoke to a concerned fan who tweeted about the absences of Cooper and Diesel. Gunn told the fan on Twitter that neither Cooper nor Diesel have ever been on set for Guardians of the Galaxy or Thor films. Disney and Marvel keep things a low profile. Marvel fans weren’t expecting the return of Toby Maguire or Andrew Garfield to appear in Spider-Man No Way Home.

Marvel fans will have to wait to find out if Bradley Cooper or Vin Diesel appear in Thor: Love and Thunder this July 8, 2022, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in May 2023.
