Jaden Piner, the young up and coming actor who recently starred as the youngest Kevin in the Academy Award-winning film Moonlight, has officially signed on to a new horror mystery film titled BOO!, according to Deadline. This will be Piner’s second film to date.
BOO! will tell the story of a nuclear family which is being tormented by a spirit of sorts. The family must work together in order to stop the invisible horror. The film is currently described as a horror mystery film, which is an unusual but interesting mix of film genres.
Piner is joined by a small cast including Charley Palmer Rothwell (Dunkirk, My Name is Lenny), Rob Zabrecky (A Ghost Story, Lost River), and Olive Gray (Save Me, Half Moon Investigations). Luke Jaden is picking up the directing reigns, and has worked on one other feature film titled Madman or Martyr. The film is being written by Jaden and Diane Michelle, who worked with Jaden on his drama short My Pretty Pony. Currently, the film does not have an exact release date, but we do know that the film will be released next year.
