Jackie Chan is Still Back in 2nd Trailer for ‘Police Story 2013’

In November, we reported that Jackie Chan was reviving his long-running Police Story film series with Police Story 2013 – appropriately set for a December 24, 2013 release date in China – and with that news came the film’s first trailer. Now, we are happy to report the film still exists, and as proof we present a second trailer.

Ever get the sense that Chan is daring us to watch him die on screen? If you need proof, consider Chan’s last film, CZ12 (which did not skimp on the action or stunts) came out just last year, and the fifty-nine year old actor may already be working on his next starring role in Skiptrace which is set to come out  next year.

As you can see, this trailer continues to prove that Police Story 2013 will not be the fun, tongue-in-cheek-type of Chan movie most of his American audience is accustomed to; the film looks more like the Liam Neeson action flick Taken by way of China – a bit of a step away even from Chan’s latest Chinese film, CZ12, which was intense, but still lighthearted. The storyline seems equally humorless, as Twitchfilm states Chan will play “a mainland Chinese Interpol officer investigating a kidnapping case.
