Tiny Fugitives, starring Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), has gotten a fall release date. The movie will premiere theatrically on September 18th. The release dates come from Inaugural Entertainment, a new studio founded by Ex Black Entertainment Television (BET) Executive Martin Neal and Producer Kevin Weisberg (Nimrods), after their acquisition of the rights to the film. The movie is written and directed by Michael Lewen, who has worked as a producer for films like Trainwreck (2015) and King of Staten Island, both projects that were directed by Judd Apatow. It is also produced by Seth Rogan (Pineapple Express) and follows a group of teenagers stuck at a sleepaway camp with Johnny Knoxville playing their camp counselor.
In The Hollywood Reporter article about the film, Weinsberg says,
The Point Grey team and Michael Lewen have crafted a brilliantly nostalgic yet entirely fresh summer comedy. We are thrilled to partner with this spectacular creative team to bring Tiny Fugitives and its infectious, unruly spirit to nationwide audiences this September.
Neal and Weisberg just debuted their studio last year in June and marked Whippin’ to Work, a film about an inmate trying to rebuild his life, as their first studio debut. The movie has yet to be released, but the estimated release was said to be early 2026.
