Actor Hugh Jackman (X-Men) discussed his thoughts on returning to the character Van Helsing during an interview with JoBlo Celebrity Access. The question about returning to Helsing comes from an interview about Jackman’s new movie Death of Robin Hood.
“I don’t know, first person to ask me in a long time…” is what Jackman had to say but he ends his response with, “never say never.” Van Helsing came out in 2004, so it has been two decades since Jackman has taken the role of the vampire hunter. However, it wouldn’t be the first time making a dramatic return to a role, first coming back as Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine. Before Deadpool & Wolverine came out in 2024, Jackman’s last appearance as Logan/Wolverine was in Logan in 2017.
Logan (2017) served as a send off to the character that Jackman has played since the first X-Men film released in the year 2000. With his return in Deadpool & Wolverine, he was able to create a new send-off while officially being a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After the Avengers: Doomsday trailer showing glimpses of X-Men characters, there is still no confirmation he will return along other returning X-Men characters. Similar to the Van Helsing situation, nothing is confirmed as of this moment.
