Audiences are in luck, as the release of the first trailer for John Watts’s upcoming action flick Wolfs shows Brad Pitt and George Clooney reunited on the big screen as they portray two fixers hired for the same job. Pitt and Clooney have previously worked together in Joel and Ethan Coen’s critically acclaimed black comedy Burn After Reading, starring Pitt as dimwitted gym employee Chad Feldheimer and Clooney as womanizing U.S. marshall Harry Pfarrer. The two also starred in the iconic film series Ocean’s 11, in which Clooney stars as criminal ringleader Danny Ocean with Pitt playing his right-hand man, Rusty Ryan. Given Pitt and Clooney’s previous success working together in the genre of the crime thriller, fans of Burn After Reading and the Ocean’s 11 series will not want to miss the release of Wolfs this coming September.
The trailer itself features Clooney stating, after being called to dispose of a body, “There’s nobody that can do what I do,” a line reminiscent of the calculating yet charming Danny Ocean of Ocean’s 11 fame, before having an awkward run-in with Pitt who has also been called to clean up the crime scene. The Apple Studios original, which also features Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, and Poorna Jagannathan, is sure to make a big splash upon its release this fall.
