Actors Pom Klementieff and Karen Gillan who play Mantis and Nebula respectively, had a rather emotional reaction after reading the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 script for the first time. James Gunn jokingly commented on their reaction on Twitter, teasing one or two juicy details to the fans about the third installment of the space heroes.
A tweet released by FandomWire earlier yesterday read: “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Script left Nebula’s Karen Gillan and Mantis’ Pom Klementieff in floods of tears.” Apparently, the third episode of the intergalactic misfits turned superheroes is going to be very emotional.
The acclaimed director responded jokingly by tweeting: “Or maybe they just got paper cuts.” We know that it is going to be James Gunn’s last movie as the director of the franchise, but it is left unclear whether it is going to be the last episode of the immensely successful series altogether.

James Gunn sprinkled small details of the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie over Twitter: “I hope it’s not because they thought they had too few lines because honestly their roles are both pretty huge and it seems greedy.” Heavily hinting that both characters, who are now an official part of the Guardians of the Galaxy squad, are going to have big roles in the upcoming events.
When the director was asked if actors of the DC Cinematic Universe might cross over to Marvel, specifically referring to the ones that he worked with on the set of Suicide Squad, his answer was: “That is a distinct possibility.”
Gunn has also previously hinted at multiple deaths in the team of unwilling heroes when asked about his third and final work on the Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie will start production late in 2021 and probably won’t be released until May 2023. A long wait for the fans of this uncanny group of space pirates.
