Award season is upon us, and the 2026 Golden Globes began the Winter accolade parade on Sunday, January 11th, with host Nikki Glaser. Opening with a monologue including some jabs at current events, Glaser brought a light mood to the annual ceremony with even a joke about CBS News being the place to see B.S. news. She made a joke about Leonardo DiCaprio’s notorious dating habits, then acknowledged it as a “cheap joke” that segued into a joke regarding a question in a 1990’s Teen Beat magazine interview about pasta. Following that was something about Sean Penn looking like a hot handbag, Hamnet being another name for Spanx, “Wicked: For Money” as a potential sequel name, and a Chalamet Protein Whey joke.
