Godzilla Minus One is getting a steelbook release that can pre-ordered on the official Godzilla website for the total price of $35. The steelbook release is set to release on October 6th, and includes the steelbook with the 4k UHD and Blu-Ray version, along with a glow in the dark slipcover, mini poster, inner print, 11 featurettes and behind the scene footage.

Godzilla Minus One was the first movie in the franchise to be nominated and win an academy award. It won Best Visual effects during the 96th Academy Awards. When the film won its award, the director of the film, Takashi Yamazaki said, “My career began forty years ago after the shock of seeing “Star Wars” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” To someone so far from Hollywood, even the possibility of standing on this stage seemed out of reach. The moment we are nominated we felt like Rocky Balboa, welcomed into the ring as the equals by…our biggest rivals, which was already a miracle.”

The movie is to receive a sequel later this year in November. The movie is titled Godzilla Minus Zero and takes place two years after the first installment.
