It turns out that underground fight clubs aren’t for guys anymore. Sure, most of us love Fight Club, but remember we don’t talk about that here. For the girls, that may be a different story, but of course, we haven’t heard the rules yet. Malin Akerman from Watchmen stars as woman who’s fed up with life. Bills are mounting up, her car was repossessed and all she wants to do is let all that stress out. So, why not let it out physically?!
The supporting cast includes Dulce Sloan, Bella Thorne and even Alec Baldwin. Baldwin even offers to help train Anna (Malin Akerman) since her fighting skills are worse than a cat! Bella Thorne is Olivia, a woman who can certainly throw some punches and challenges Anna who’s twenty years her senior! And of course, there’s Charleen (Dulce Sloan) who introduces Anna to this underground world where only women are throwing the punches in the best place to have a brawl- a cage match!
The film certainly looks to offer the audience some laughs and plenty of fists in the air! The script is penned by Joseph Downey while the film is directed by Paul Leyden (Come Back to Me) and the TV Series Cleaners. Chick Fight is scheduled to be released on November 13 2020 and will be distribed by Quiver Distribution and RedBox Entertainment.
