After hitting theatres on November 23, 2022, Strange World is finally heading to Disney+ right before Christmas.
The movie revolves around the legendary family of explorers, the Clades. They attempt to navigate through an unknown and dangerous land with a ragtag crew that includes a mischievous hunk named Splat; Legend, the family dog; and many ravenous creatures.
Strange World is voiced by Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission as Jaeger’s father, and is headed by Jaboukie Young White as Searcher’s 16-year-old adventurous son Ethan. Some other actors that led the film were Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and partner of Searcher; Lucy Liu plays Callisto Mal, a fearless leader of Avalonia leading an exploration of a strange world.
The animated family movie disappoints after a bad start to Thanksgiving holiday weekend, grossing $30.4 million domestically and $50.4 million worldwide.
Disney+ announced the news through the social media app Instagram. Strange World will arrive on Disney+ on December 23, 2022.
