Foo Fighters Release Official Trailer of Their New Horror Comedy Film ‘Studio 666’

Rock legends Foo Fighters and Open Road Films released the first official trailer for their hotly anticipated horror comedy film, Studio 666. It’s set to debut theatrically nationwide on February 25th.

BJ McDonnell directs based on a story from band member Dave Grohl and a screenplay by Jeff Buhler and Rebecca Hughe. Grohl stars with the rest of his bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee. Whitney Cummings, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega, Leslie Grossman, and Jeff Garlin round out the cast.

The synopsis reads: “In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album.  Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band.”

In the trailer, Grohl is creatively blocked, but evil forces in the mansion sink into his consciousness and help his creative juices to flow out. But blood soon follows, so will Foo Fighters complete the album with the band still alive to tour? Fans will just have to find out.

The international release has not been announced yet but will be set soon by Open Road CEO Tom Ortenberg and Foo Fighters.

Watch the hilariously terrifying trailer below, filled with laughs, scares, and splatters mixed in for good measure. And be sure to catch Studio 666 exclusively in theaters next month on February 25th.
