The official teaser trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has been released. The franchise, commonly abbreviated as FNAF, is based off the hit horror video games of the same name by Scott Cawthon. The franchise has a very loyal fanbase, which showed mounds of support for the first film adaptation of the franchise.

It was no surprise that there would be a sequel, and the teaser for the sequel adds more fan favorites into the mix. One of these characters teased in the sequel is the animatronic Balloon Boy. The teaser’s dialogue includes Elizabeth Lail’s character Vanessa saying, “They’re out there Mike.” Mike was the protagonist of the first film, played by Josh Hutcherson.

The film is directed by Emma Tammi, who is returning to the project after the first film. The film is being produced by Jason Blum of Blumhouse, who is known for movies such as M3GAN and The Black Phone, both of which will also be receiving their own sequels. Producing alongside Blum is Cawthon himself.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will premiere in theaters this December. Needless to say, this will be a wonderful holiday gift for fans of FNAF. “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.”
