The movie Five Nights at Freddy’s was a huge hit for fans of the popular horror video game series. Soon after its release, a second film, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, was confirmed to be in the works as well. While not much is known about its plot, some set images were recently shared by the X user @DeducerFNAF.
The images in question show the new pizzeria location that the film will likely take place at. This location seems smaller than the first film’s pizzeria, which collapsed at the end of that film. It also is in a much more overgrown area than the location in the previous film. There is lots of foliage surrounding the site.
Scott Cawthon, the creator of the Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) franchise, has said that a sequel to the film would take place in an all new location, just like in the game. Where this new location is, it would be hard to say. Throughout the course of FNAF, there have been over 36 different locations in the novels and games.
With so much content to pull from when creating the second film, it is hard to say what will take place. Some aspects of the story were even changed in the original film adaptation, such as the character Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson) and his relation to the series villain William Afton (Matthew Lillard).
Fans are eager to find out more about the movie. Filming for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 began in November of 2024, and it will be exciting to see what happens as the film is set to hit theaters in December of 2025.
