Freddy is back, and this time he brought more friends. Blumhouse officially released the trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 at San Diego Comic Con, with the trailer also dropping online.

Picking up where Five Nights at Freddy’s left off, the sequel finds Josh Hutcherson’s Mike trying to readjust to normal life with his younger sister after getting terrorized by possessed animatronics. But when the first Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria location is discovered, they have to endure another five nights with brand-new animatronics controlled by an all-too familiar force.

Director Emma Tammi is back in the director’s chair for the sequel, after the first Five Nights went over well. Although she was among the credited writers for the first, she will not be taking up writing duties for the sequel, instead taking an executive producer credit.

Franchise creator Scott Cawthon is remaining on board with the production of the sequel. Much like the first, he’s attached as both a writer and a producer, but this time as the only one to pen the script.

As well as Hutcherson, several cast members of the first film return, including Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard. Newcomer talents include Wayne Knight, Mckenna Grace, and even Lillard’s Scream co-star, Skeet Ulrich.

The trailer for Five Nights 2, although keeping some surprises hidden for the film, promises plenty of details from the second game recreated in front of the camera. Some locations from the game are present in the trailer, as well as certain gameplay mechanics on display. On top of that, the trailer showcases many of the new animatronic designs, corresponding with their looks from the game.

Five Nights At Freddy’s hits theaters December 5th. Check out the trailer below.
