Late last night Warner Bros. dropped a teaser trailer for their new comedy Fist Fight. The film pits Hollywood bad boy Ice Cube against Philly’s favorite bar janitor and rat slayer, Charlie Day.
Some say it’s as if the movie gods invaded our wildest dreams and randomly plucked out two of our favorite comedians and said: “Go at it!” Set to go head to head in an old-fashioned schoolyard brawl, Fist Fight takes place on the last day of school. Day, who plays a mild-mannered, run-of-the-mill teacher gets his world turned upside down when his hot-headed colleague (Cube) challenges him to a fight after school because he had a hand is his firing. As word spreads around the school and the challenge goes viral, Day has a lot more to worry about other than budget cuts. Throughout the trailer, the clever premise begins to take shape while Day hilariously tries to figure a way out before that school bell rings.
Fist Fight is directed by It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia director Richie Keen and written by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser. The film also stars Workaholics odd-ball Jillian Bell, and comedian legend Tracy Morgan.
Fist Fight will hit theaters February 18th. Enjoy the trailer below.
