The first trailer has been released for War Machine, a new Sci-fi action movie starring Reacher lead actor Alan Ritchson. The film follows a group of U.S Army Rangers, led by Alan Ritchson’s protagonist, as they are hunted by a robotic device of alien origin. “Whatever that thing is, it’s hunting us, and it won’t stop”, Ritchson’s character states to his fellow army platoon in the trailer, after they discover the alien robot. “It’s not about us anymore. It’s warning everybody that thing’s coming.”
In addition to Ritchson, the film also stars Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber. The film is directed by Patrick Hughes, best known for action movies like The Hitman’s Bodyguard and The Man From Toronto. In addition to directing, Hughes also co-wrote the screenplay, alongside James Beaufort. Producers on the film include Hughes, Todd Lieberman, Alexander Young, Greg McLean, and Rich Cook. Valerie Bleth Sharp serves as the film’s Executive Producer.
Patrick Hughes is set to work again with Alan Ritchson in an upcoming true story film for Amazon and MGM Studios about real-life former Navy SEAL Mike Thornton, which is currently still in the works. In the meantime, War Machine is set to be released on Netflix on March 6th. The trailer can be viewed below:
