First Trailer For ‘Resident Evil: Death Island’ Released: Everyone Is Here

Last February, a teaser trailer was released for a new CG Resident Evil film, titled Resident Evil: Death Island. Now, the first official trailer for the film has been released and it may be the closest thing to an Avengers moment that the Resident Evil franchise ever gets.

You can watch the trailer below!

If fans weren’t already excited about Jill Valentine appearing in the movie, now they can look forward to seeing Claire Redfield.

Matt Mercer will be reprising his role from Resident Evil: Vendetta as Leon Kennedy, alongside Kevin Dorman as Chris Redfield, Erin Cahill as Rebecca Chambers. The new faces to the films are Nicole Tompkins as Jill Valentine and Stephanie Panisello as Claire Redfield who both played their characters in the video game series.

“D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.” (Via IGN)

The film is a sequel to Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017) and directed by Eiichiro Hasumi. The film is distributed by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and will release exclusively in Japan on July 7.
