The first teaser trailer for Pixar’s long-delayed The Good Dinosaur has finally surfaced online. It’s our first look at the film, which posits a world where the asteroid that caused the demise of the dinosaurs never hit earth, and details the unlikely friendship that develops between a lost Apatosaurus and the boy who helps him on his journey home.
The film has had a rocky road to theaters, what with major story overhauls and the loss of director Bob Peterson (Up). The latter issue caused co-director Peter Sohn to step in to helm in his feature debut.
The voice cast features Lucas Neff as the curious Apatosaurus Arlo, who, when separated from his family, is befriended by a cave boy in his quest to return home. Bill Hader (Trainwreck), John Lithgow (Love is Strange), Frances McDormand (Fargo), Judy Greer (Tomorrowland), and Neil Patrick Harris (Gone Girl) help round out the cast.
Originally scheduled for a May 2014 release, the film is now slated to hit theaters on November 25, taking advantage of the long Thanksgiving weekend.
