Many were fearful that Toy Story 4 was going to tarnish what already was a perfect franchise with another possibly unnecessary installment. According to critics however, it appears not to be the case as reviews have finally arrived for the Pixar sequel. Not only is the film getting good reviews, but some are saying it’s downright amazing and maintains the humor, emotion, and nostalgia of the first three Toy Story films.
As of June 13 2019, the film is sitting at a 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score with about 65 reviews posted thus far. Many are praising this film as possibly even better than Toy Story 3 with the consensus being, “Heartwarming, funny, and beautifully animated, Toy Story 4 manages the unlikely feat of extending — and perhaps concluding — a practically perfect animated saga.”
For a film that many have doubted upon it’s initially announcement, it seems very reassuring that Toy Story has seemingly escaped the all too common curse of franchise films getting worse as they go on. If there is any franchise that could have possibly escaped that curse, it would of course be a film created by one of the most renowned animation companies of all time.
Toy Story 4 is set for release just around the corner on June 21st, 2019,
