First Poster Released For ‘Ebenezer’ Starring Johnny Depp

Paramount has released the first poster for Ebenezer, a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, starring Johnny Depp as Ebenezer Scrooge. The poster gives a tease of Johnny Depp as Scrooge, with a tagline that reads “Before he was Scrooge, he was… Ebenezer.” The poster was first released through an X post, with the post also featuring a caption that says “The name you know. The story you don’t.”

In addition to Depp, the film features an all-star cast playing the iconic roles of Dickens’ story. Playing the ghosts, who visit Ebenezer Scrooge the night of Christmas Eve, are Andrea Riseborough as the Ghost of Christmas Past, Tramell Tillman as the Ghost of Christmas Present, and Daisy Ridley as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Rupert Grint plays Bob Cratchit, Ian McKellen plays Jacob Marley, Sam Claflin plays Nephew Fred, and Charley Murphy plays Mr. Fezziwig.

The upcoming Ebenezer is directed by Ti West, the director of the X trilogy, which consisted of the three Slasher films X, Pearl, and MaXXXine. The film is written by Nathaniel Halpern. Emma Watts is the producer, while the executive producers are Adam Bohling, Stephen Deuters, Jason Forman, and David Reid.

Ebenezer will be released in theaters by Paramount Pictures on November 16th.
