First look photos from the Spider-Man: Brand New Day set were posted by UnBoxPHD this Sunday. The photos show Stranger Things star Sadie Sink leaning against a wall in a hooded coat, alongside director Destin Daniel Cretton. Another image by UnBoxPHD shows Tom Holland in his Spidey suit.

This film marks Holland’s fourth solo appearance as Peter Parker, and his return to the MCU following 2021’s Spider-Man; No Way Home. Holland recently took a short break from filming in Glasgow after sustaining a mild concussion.

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are keeping specifics of Sink’s role tightly under wraps. Rumors have circulated about the 23-year-old’s potential portrayal of either Gwen Stacy or X-Men’s Jean Grey due to the upcoming reboot for the mutants in the MCU timeline.

Addressing the speculation, Sink commented, “I see a lot of rumors too. They’ve been really cool to read. I love the Marvel Universe. I mean they’re awesome rumors.”

Other major cast members are returning, including Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, though he has also been cryptic about his appearance. Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ, while Jon Bernthal will make his MCU film debut as Frank Castle, a.k.a The Punisher.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will open in theaters on July 31, 2026.
